A regional directory is a categorized database of public and private
organizations, business professionals, and tradesmen, organized and
displayable based on their functional category and their location.
Telephone "yellow pages" directories are examples of regional
directories. Typically, each yellow pages directory listing
includes an organization name as well as its address and phone
number. For an additional fee, some directories allow an
organization to add promotional text and graphics to its listing.
However, such directories may be ill-suited for Internet use because, in
some cases, they lack website links for the listings in their databases.
This regional directory, RegionalDirectory.us, contains not only organization names, locations, and phone numbers, but links to each organization's website as well. Using these website links, Internet users can quickly find in-depth information about various types of businesses. The regional directory's information database contains entries for organizations in the United States of America. The database also contains many organization categories and more than three thousand regions. These regions include the fifty states and their counties, as well as the District of Columbia. Categories are structured as regional directory subdomains. Each entry is organized by category as well as by region. Some organizations are included in several categories, and organizations that have a physical presence in multiple locations are sometimes listed for each known location. For completeness, and to facilitate information queries, some organizations may also be listed under multiple names, at the same location. This website also features an extensive directory of regional and local libraries where visitors can conduct in-depth research on a vast array of topics. Note that information about businesses and other organizations is constantly changing; some of the organizations listed in this directory may have relocated or even ceased operations. So, to avoid disappointment, you should verify the address, the telephone number, and the website link of an organization before you spend the time and money to visit their physical premises.
